Having got behind an inter-county team for the first time as a business this year, all at Green Acre Marketing are very proud of the achievements of the Waterford Camogie panel over the course of their historic 2023 campaign.
Managing Director and former Waterford Camogie player Aileen Barron believes that, just like running a business, those times when you’re required to dust yourself off help to drive you forward and ultimately lead to even greater rewards. This may be not at the forefront of the Déisewomen’s thinking in the wake of last Sunday’s All-Ireland Senior Camogie Final defeat to Cork at Croke Park but, in time, the mindset will once again turn to future challenges.
“It was obviously a hugely disappointing result for Waterford and not what anyone would have wanted for a team playing in its first All-Ireland Final,” said Aileen, “but we are grateful for the journey that they took us all on while supporting them this year”.
Green Acre Marketing was proud to sponsor An Rinn clubwoman Sarah Morrissey this year in what was her debut season in the senior panel.
Said Aileen Barron: “We were delighted to sponsor Sarah for a number of reasons; she hails from an agricultural background in West Waterford and has clearly enjoyed the experience she’s gained over the course of such an eventful season.
“I firmly believe, in the case of most of the panel, they are still only in the opening chapters of what will ultimately prove a wonderful sporting story. In time they will look back on 2023 – along with the big games not yet played – and feel immensely proud of their achievements. Green Acre Marketing wishes all involved some well-earned downtime and we look forward to offering our support again come 2024.”
