L-R: Eva Smite, Dermot Keyes & Sinead McGrath

As Green Acre Marketing prepares to celebrate 10 years in business there has been a renewed focus on supporting customers with the expertise they require to drive their business forward.

As part of this move, Green Acre Marketing are delighted to have welcomed aboard well-known news and broadcast journalist Dermot Keyes.

The evolution and growth of digital marketing and the skillset upon which it requires has also led to the appointment of Sinead McGrath and Eva Smite to its expanding team in recent weeks.

Dermot, who has worked in regional journalism for the past 24 years, is happily settling into his new role as PR & Communications Manager.

“From talking to a sheep farmer in Leitrim about the importance of vaccinating his flock, to discussing a major brand launch with an international company and coming to grips with the terminology that’s distinctive to agribusiness, something new has come my way every day in my new role,” said Dermot, who hails from Portlaw, County Waterford.

“National and regional media has proven very receptive to Green Acre Marketing’s message in my initial period in the post and I’m looking forward to seeing more of the stories we’re keen to relay in print, online and on air over the coming months.

“There’s a deep well of stories within Green Acre Marketing’s client base that we’re going to draw from. Be it innovation, sustainability or new technology along with the latest developments in yards, parlours, machinery and work practices both in Ireland and beyond, we’ve got so many stories worth sharing – with projects aplenty in the works – so watch this space!”

Sinead McGrath, who has joined the Green Acre Marketing team as a Digital Marketing Executive, is a Marketing graduate of South East Technological University (SETU), where she achieved First Class Honours.

Having previously worked in the software industry, Sinead has been familiar with agricultural activity from an early age and is now bringing both of those experiences to bear with Green Acre Marketing.

“I’ve a particular interest in business and digital marketing skills,” said Sinead, who hails from Butlerstown, just outside Waterford City.

“Our society has become increasingly reliant on technology and it’s clear to me that digital marketing is now front and centre when it comes to the majority of most marketing strategies. It’s all about moving with the times and giving the client what they want, which is one of Green Acre Marketing’s key selling points. I really enjoy assisting our agribusiness clients with digital promotion and innovation and I’m looking forward to honing and developing new strategies for clients over the coming months.”

Ahead of her fourth year in Marketing & Digital Media at SETU, Eva Smite is currently relishing her work placement with Green Acre Marketing.

A quick learner who “enjoys doing different things outside of my comfort zone”, Eva began her academic life by studying International Business. However, a deepening interest in the evolving world of digital media led Eva into SETU’s Marketing & Digital Media programme.

Keen to gain experience in digital marketing and to learn more about the agriculture and agribusiness sectors, Eva is enjoying her time with Green Acre Marketing.

“Customer satisfaction is a huge priority for me,” said the Bantry native. “And the opportunity this internship with Green Acre Marketing has provided me with is something I’m confident will serve me well as my career advances.”

Speaking about the company’s latest recruits, Green Acre Marketing Managing Director Aileen Barron said: “We’re delighted that Dermot and Sinead have joined the team and that Eva has come on board with us for her internship. They’ve brought energy, enthusiasm and good humour to their respective roles and have settled in really well.

“Green Acre Marketing supports a range of top-level enterprises which form the backbone of Irish agribusiness in addition to supporting major global brands. Expanding the team has underlined our commitment to enhancing our level of expertise while also developing and promoting our brand. It’s a very exciting time for us and after nearly 10 years in business in somewhat feels like the journey is only beginning.”
